A group of high school students from Arizona recently participated in an educational tour through GRICUA, traveling to Washington, D.C., and other historic destinations to explore the people, places, and events that have shaped our nation.

During the trip, students visited significant landmarks, including the Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, and Vietnam Veterans Memorial. They also toured Mount Vernon, the historic home of George Washington, and the National Museum of the Marine Corps, gaining a deeper appreciation for the nation's history and the individuals who helped shape it.

The group explored museums and had the opportunity to visit the U.S. Capitol, where they met Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona. This memorable experience gave students a firsthand look at our nation's government and the importance of civic engagement.

Through these educational experiences, students were able to connect what they learn in the classroom with the history, leadership, and traditions that continue to influence America today.
